CD-R King Refused to Issue an Official Receipt

I cannot understand why CD-R King refused to issue an Official Receipt. We bought a CD-R King 6 Power Strip at CD-R King SM City Davao branch last Monday, March 24 at the same time we also bought a new optical mouse for our PC. That 6-power strip exploded right in front of hubby while he plugged it in when we got home that Monday evening. Thank goodness he was not hurt nor was our power supply was affected. But the little explosion in the room was heard by my dad. Well that is what you get for buying a cheap one as it cost only P130. My sister told me we should have bought a better brand.
We then thought we will return it to them the following day but we got busy the next day so it was only last evening that we got a chance to return it. When we went there, the staff named Joan was the one who entertained us. We would have wanted to replace the 6 power strip but we decided then and there since they have no stock inside the store to just have the P130 refunded or be offset from the P500 from the 2GB RiData SD memory card for our Canon Powershot A710IS digital camera we purchased, which was also the main reason why we went there last night aside from returning their defective power strip too.
So we paid them P370 (cash we gave was P400 then they gave us a change of P30). Now they refused to give us an Official Receipt for the 2GB RiData SD memory card we purchased for their reason that they would only issue a receipt once. So I asked them that why they won’t even give us a receipt for the P370 cash we paid to them last night. The answer we got from Joan was that it was their store policy. So I asked them too that is it also the policy with BIR? She couldn’t answer. As far as I know writing the item on the back of another Official Receipt for items that are different from what was purchased does not serve as the Official Receipt for the 2GB RiData SD memory card. They insist that they would never give us another receipt. So you mean they can pocket the P370 cash we gave them? And I think it was not a replacement coz for us a replacement would mean that we also got another power strip but no it was a totally different item we purchased last night. As customers, do we have to demand for an Official Receipt? Is it not that the store must and should issue an Official Receipt even without demand? The BIR has an ongoing promo and a drive for customers to report those establishments that refuse to issue ORs. But I don’t want to go that far. My request was very simple and I can’t understand why they refuse to give it to us even for the P370 cash we added to the P130 worth of their defective power strip. It took them almost an hour to grant that simple request which should not have been a request after all coz in the first place they must really issue an OR. Why do they have to spend almost an hour calling their Manila office to get permission to issue an OR for the 2GB RiData SD memory card we bought last night?

An Official receipt should have been issued right away by CD-R King.

kahadluk pud atong nibuto tere oi. si hubby ug akong bro-in-law kay loyal customer pud sa cdr-king. mao na ilang favorite hang out place sa SM. hehe! usahay defective ilang products pero ilisan man pud nila. pero kanang issue sa OR, dapat tagaan mo nila oi. that’s their obligation.

mao jud chi. we are loyal customers pud baya mi dra chi mao nalagot jud ko ngano kasimple na bagay dili nila mahatag. mao dani nga sa una nagaresibo man sila maski pailis ug dapat man jud to resibohan. kasimple ra unta.
kung dili nimo na resibohan ang kwarta imo nadawat pwede na nimo bulsahon dba? pero I told them I don’t care kung ginaunsa na nila pero kailangan namo resibo. hapit na gud nako adtoon ako amiga na officer taga SM accounting & finance. kay halos isa ka oras mi nila gipahulat para sa resibo lang.
nakuratan ko chi apil oi kay kami man duha naa sa duol kaau pagboto. mao lesson learned pud kay sa tarung jud na hardware mopalit ug eletrical supplies.

masasabi ko lang asar ako talaga dyan sa cd r king sm marilao ibinalik ko yung usb flash drive ko na 1 gb for warranty kasi di gumana. pero nawala yung warranty na papel. di q nadaw pwedeng kuhanin.. kasalanan ko dahil nawala ko yun pero gnun nalang ba yun nag pakita naman ako ng id. pero ayaw hanapin ko muna daw… anung ilalabas ko asar eh umabot na nga ng 1 month bako ko binalikan sa kakahanap ng papel na yun… gnun nalang ba yun dalin mo yung usb mo sa knila para ibalik tapos nung kukuhananin mo di mo na makuha hayyyy. ok lang sana yun eh pwede naman ako bumili ng bago pero sayang di ba binayaran mo…. i hate cd r king na…

you buy cheap, you get cheap. they don’t issue ORs because they are evading taxes. that’s why their prices are so low. the receipt we get from cd-r king is not an OR.
Thriving businesses here in the Phil. usually resort to illegal ways.

ang bagal nga ng serbisyo nila kasi maraming tao (hehe!).
pero ok pa rin naman kaya lng ung ibang products nila eh sumasablay gaya nung binili kong memory card (nakalimutan ko ung brand) nasira kaagad wala pang isang buwan. sa ibang store na lng ako bumili kahit mahal (octagon).
