Google Goes Black for Earth Hour Movement

Google’s homepage screen goes black in observance of the Earth Hour which was observed during 8-9PM (local time) around the world. There is a one line in the page which says “We’ve turned out the lights. Now it’s your turn,” and it has a link to a description of “Earth Hour.” This is their way of saying to the world to be aware of a energy conservation global movement called Earth Hour.
Lights out – and that was what we did here in our own home as we turned off the lights and electricity except for the fan which CT needs for an hour from 8-9PM. Our neighbors were either not aware of it or didn’t participate. Well it is their choice. More power to the Earth Hour movement.
