This is the so-called rendering of the Ayala Mall Davao and Ayala Business Park in Davao. This was shown during the forum at the Marco Polo Hotel by Javier Hernandez, senior div. manager of the Ayala Mall Corp (photo courtesy of SSC).

Mayor Duterte in the TV Patrol interview shown this afternoon said that 2009 is the target date of opening the Ayala Mall and by 2012 the whole project will be finished (landscape, it park, etc.). This will indeed generate more jobs for people in Davao. For me, this is another destination for shopping, malling and by then, CT will have a new place to walk around. According to the press release: “Hernandez said the timetable for the project is that by 2012 it will start operating as it will have four phases with the first phase to be completed in 2009 with two buildings for call center locators.”

    I’m so excited, even now. This is a big leap for the economic rise not only here in Davao City, but it can also help the nation. Speking of the unemployment rate of our country today, it is gonna be a big advantage. I hope and pray that many business tycoons will not only invest here in Davao but also in some parts of our nation… Now this monopoly of the Ayalas is going to strike a big hit through the the economic fluctuation here in our nation, not only in Davao…

    When I come back to Davao next year 2010, I’ll definitely visit this Mall. When I left the city for almost a year now I was able to attend the ground breaking ceremony in Bajada and I’m so excited as well.
