During the finals night of American Idol, Simon Cowell declared the teenager from Utah, David Archuleta as the contest’s knockout winner over the rocker David Cook. The 17 year-old Archuleta received overwhelming praises and comments from the three judges and most of all from Cowell who already declared him as the winner. American Idol will wrap up Wednesday night (tomorrow here in the Philippines).
On the other hand, David Cook was happy with his performance and the way he approached tonight’s final match-up. Both Archuleta and Cook gave each other compliments on each other’s performance tonight.
Archuleta said, “I felt I had a disadvantage getting so much attention in the beginning. But winning isn’t the big concern. It’s always doing your best. … That’s what’s important.”
