Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull

We watched Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull at NCCC Mall Cinema earlier and it was a funny movie or at least part of it. There were scenes of this Steven Spielberg (director) and George Lucas‘ (script writer) movie that had me laughing as well as the other movie goers. There were not much people during the show time we went in. A group of four people near us would laugh hard and loud enough but we were not irritated coz those scenes were really funny. This is an entertaining movie. At the start I thought I would get bored through out the next two hours with all the archaeological terms and history discussion etc that Indy – Indiana Jones played by Harrison Ford, was talking about but that did not last long. H and I really laughed hard during that scene where Indy was in a quick sand and his son could not find anything but a snake he found in the jungle, which Indiana Jones would not grab while he was almost swallowed by the quick sand because he was afraid of the snake and his son and his ex-GF who is the mother of his son kept on shouting at him to grab the snake. Indy wanted them to shout “Grab the rope” instead of “Grab the snake”. Some scenes are not quite believable though in my opinion like Indy surviving an atomic bomb explosion by hiding inside a refrigerator that flew out probably miles away while the rest of the place where he was was all gone. Why is it that only that ref luckily flew and was thrown away and Indy got out alive. Hmmmm let’s ask Spielberg and Lucas shall we? This movie that has the setting of 1957 had for its ending a mixture of X-Files where the crystal skull they were looking for indeed belong to one of the 13 aliens who lost his head well actually his skull as they called it and then there was the appearance of alien spaceship that came out from the ground and flew away. Well actually the movie has some obvious loopholes but hey if you wanna enjoy this movie and just have a good laugh, then forget about them. Harrison Ford in this 4th Indiana Jones sequel, has still managed to do the action scenes at his age. I never recognized Cate Blanchett throughout the movie who played Irina Spalko, the villain in the movie, neither did my H. Anyway, it was an entertaining movie! Have fun at the movies! :)
