National Flag Day

Today is the National Flag Day in the Philippines. Did you know that? I think a lot of Filipinos were not aware or even know about it. A big Philippine flag was raised today in a ceremony done in Imus, Cavite to celebrate the event. A little trivia that I just learned today about the flag is that the proper way of disposing an old and worn Philippine flag is to burn it in an urn and bury it in the ground as a sign of respect to the flag. Never just throw the national flag because it would be a sign of disrespect to our country.
