While taking photos in the front yard of the sky and flowers, H found this insect inside one of the Gumamela (hibiscus rosa-sinensis Linn) or also known as Hibiscus, China Rose and Shoeflower. In the Philippines, gumamela is cultivated as an ornamental plant. The gumamela flower comes in many colors: red, yellow, orange, white, purple, pink and other color combinations. Going back to the critter we found inside the Gumamela, I am not sure if it is an ant or a bee or something else. We did not dare touch it too as it make take a bite. We just left it there be and free to do what it was doing.

It does look like it might be some sort of bee. These are VERY beautiful photos! What a gorgeous flower!

That bee looks too small for the flower. I didn’t see it the first time.
