Cottony Clouds

Sky Watch: cottony clouds

Saw these cottony clouds yesterday morning as CT and I were outside as I let CT ride his bike. I could not resist taking this photo and I have to bring CT in then out again just to grab the D60 from our room. I observed that the clouds changes formation quickly as the sun rises higher in the morning. So a matter of minutes you would see a different view of the clouds. This is my Sky Watch entry for this week though I have lots and lots of shots. This is for now. We might go to the pedia to have a check up on CT. Happy Friday and enjoy the weekend ahead! :)

    @Marcia,

    Yes the Sky Watch has made me more aware again of the beauty we take for granted most of the time. Indeed everyday I would grab the chance to look up to the sky and just have the chance to see the beauty which helps me ease my mind and it’s really relaxing!

    I think this is the best Sky Watch Friday yet. The things I have seen are very encouraging and the photography is spot on.

    I really admire your photography choices and your critical eye for composition, lighting and texture.

    It is well known that we Portuguese once sailed the seven seas searching for new lands, wealth and adventures.
    We were brave in those days and gave the world new worlds!

    Luckily I don’t have to sail the big oceans on a small ship to sea the wonders of our world …
    No Sir, I just need to check with Mr. Tom, the finest host there is, for a trip around the world with SKY WATCH TOURS and with a click here, a click there I am quickly in the USA, England, Brazil, Italy, China, Australia, Finland … well, everywhere.

    And on each stop I come to see a little marvel of our world under a great sky!
    Hope you can come and see my piece of the sky at lenses & visions

    You know, Blake, the poet, called that a “mackerel sky”…
    It kind of resembles the skin of the mackerel fish…
    I occasionally bring up that bit of information at parties when there is a lull in the conversation…

    Great catch for SWF! God and Nature first made us what we are, and then out of our own created genius we make ourselves what we want to be. Follow always that great law. Let the sky and God be our limit and Eternity our measurement…. Happy weekend! Mine’s up too hope you can drop by…. here

    I love these kind of ‘cottony’ clouds too. Great capture! Thanks for sharing. I’ve joined Sky Watch for the first time this week at Small Reflections with a view from my front patio.
