At last the Hoya PRO1 Digital Circular Polarizing Lens Filters (CPL) in 52mm and 67mm were finally delivered to us yesterday afternoon after waiting for about two days. H paid for it at MBTC-Quimpo after he withdrew from my DA last Thursday afternoon. Henry’s Camera & Photo Supply said they sent them through courier last Friday morning because they demanded for the deposit slip to be sent through email which H did early Thursday evening, unlike DP Online Store who no longer required such. So we were expecting that the items will be delivered yesterday morning as I was really excited for them more than the Tamrac Adventure Messenger 5 bag which arrived first which is not really a priority for me but nevertheless I was happy the bag arrived and my laptop fitted in.
- Hoya PRO1 Digital Circular Polarizing Lens (CPL) 52mm & 67mm filters with the wrong ND4 instead of ND8 from Henrys Camera & Photo Supply
This morning we have tried a little using the 52mm CPL and I think it is okay. Have not really observed the difference or should I say appreciated the difference between having a CPL on or without one. It been rather a cloudy day since this morning. I’ll try it when the skies are clearer.
Now if you noticed the third filter (rightmost) a Hoya Natural Density Filter 4 (ND4) which Henry’s Camera & Photo Supply supposedly mistakenly sent us instead of the Hoya Natural Density Filter 8 (ND8) which we actually ordered. The thing is they have at first seemingly overpriced the ND8 at P3,200 then when we saw the ND4, they wrote P3,200 on it too written in blue pentel pen and there seems to be a different amount written on it too something that looks like P2,200 written in black pentel pen. Grrrrr! Are they trying to trick us or what?!!! I don’t think that is right. I think the ND4 price is even lower. I am really disappointed! The ND8 was the one filter I was really excited to use.
To add to that, Henry’s even asked us to pay P300 for the freight of the 3 filters and we did in good faith. Much to our dismay, AP Cargo who also delivered the items collected P148.96. The cargo was freight-collect! How come when we already paid P300 in advance to Henry’s for the freight which is twice the actual amount? Another Grrrrr!!! Grabe naman ano bang klaseng negosyo yan! We immediately emailed Henry’s to complain. We have asked for a complete refund for the total P3,500 for the ND8 alone which I am not sure they will give in. Their staff probably did not counter check the order and the question is why price a lower item with the same price for the item we ordered that they did not send. If the staff is familiar with the items then he/she should have doubted the high price he/she wrote (which if I may say so is like tampered). I just blogged about this because I was really excited for the ND8 then they did that to us.
