If last weekend was a long weekend because August 18 was declared the holiday for the anniversary of Ninoy Aquino’s death which is actually yesterday, August 21 then this weekend starting today is a much longer holiday for us here in Davao City since today, August 22 Friday is a special non-working holiday in Davao for the celebration of the Kadayawan Festival then Monday, August 25 is yet another holiday where the National Heroes’ Day was moved to which is normally celebrated on the last Sunday of August here in the Philippines. Wow that is a long break for two consecutive weeks especially appreciated by those working people. For me not much since I work at home now.
Given the long weekend again I am sure the malls here are having midnight sales. I think Gaisano Mall will have a three-day mall sale starting today August 22, 23 and 24. Last week I think all malls here also had a sale but only Victoria Plaza and Gaisano Mall had midnight sales last August 16. Tomorrow August 23 will be the midnight sale in Gaisano Mall. I am not sure if tomorrow is also the midnight sale in SM City. Well I wanted to go hunting for other things we need for the new place that are on sale but then we are holding back on spending right now to prioritize our “moving out, moving in” project.
