I first took interest in Beyonce’s Single Ladies (Put a Ring on It) when she performed it at the AMA 2008 or the 2008 American Music Awards which hubby and I watched on TV. Then last Christmas day where we went home to my parents’ house to celebrate Christmas, I heard this song again being played and
saw its video at YouTube which I cannot put here because “embedding disabled by request”.
Anyway, I just wanna share the Single Ladies (Put a Ring on It) video from the AMA 2008 which though a little sexy but it’s fun to dance to the music and this afternoon CT and I danced to it in our room while waiting for hubby to finish taking a bath since we were going out to attend mass and have dinner with his family.
This song of Beyonce scores a #1 hit and gives her female fans a new anthem especially for single women.
She additionally ignites a viral sensation that prompts hundreds of interpretations. Single ladies aren’t the only ones redoing the video. There are also takes from men and kids, parodies, response songs and animations.
On the other hand, I was amused with this remake where three guys became her back up dancers in this Singles Ladies’ remake where Justin Timberlake was among these guys back up dancers. This remake called Beyonce and Justin Timberlake’s parody of Single Ladies in SNL was probably prompted because of the intrigue on the gender of one of the two back up dancers in Beyonce’s video. Well this is simply for fun and you can dance along anyway!
