Sinulog Festival 2009 here we come! It is the most colorful and grandest festival in Cebu City, Philippines. Sinulog Grand Parade, the main festival is held every year on the third Sunday of January in Cebu City to honor the Santo Niño, or the child Jesus, who used to be the patron saint of the whole province of Cebu. In the Catholic faith Jesus is not a saint, but God. It is essentially a dance ritual which remembers the Filipino people’s pagan past and their acceptance of Christianity. Looking for Jobs in Davao City?

Yes I am quite excited already to be back in Cebu in two weeks time for Sinulog 2009. Quite excited because we have CT with us so I cannot really expect to be that mobile when we get there and to really enjoy the festival unlike before when it was just hubby and I in 2006. But at least we will be in Cebu to celebrate CT’s 2nd birthday and witness the Sinulog in whatever way and wherever we can. This will be some sort of family vacation too. I just hope we can find a way to find someone to assist us with CT when we are there.

In lieu of any gear lust and GAS for photography gears this Christmas 2008, instead hubby has bought our round trip tickets to Cebu last Sunday through the help of his office mates where we were able to save a little though it is still above the original budget we have set because going to Cebu CT will have no fare since he is not yet two years old but going back home here, we will be paying for half of the regular fare already since CT is already two years old by then. Plus there will be terminal fees. Anyway this will surely be an adventure. I just hope CT will cooperate and behave. I pray too that we will not get sick before, during and after the trip.
