Traditional Coin Shower
31 Dec 2008
In our family during Christmas and New Year, we have this what we call traditional coin shower. We shower coins on the floor in the house supposedly a sign of good luck and prosperity to come pouring in the house. Well that is what they say. True or not, this coin shower in our family brings so much happiness and tearsĀ to the kids and the kids at heart (toink!) in our family. Why tears?
Tears for those of my nephews who had not gotten as much coin as they wanted and sometimes you know kids they want a lot of it if not everything. If their coins collected get to the other collection then they would start to protest and cry. Well we make sure they give back what they took. This is for fun and we have to make it fair and let the kids learn from it that it’s not good to take from the other.
Happy New Year 2009!!!

2009 Jan 06 1We also have a coin shower every New Year’s Eve. It was so cute because Yohan was ready with his piggy bank even before the coin shower started.
