We went to Ayala Center Cebu last night intending to watch the fireworks display at 9PM at the Ayala Center Cebu South Surface Parking. Since we arrived early for that, dropped at Starbucks and went to The Terraces then went inside the mall to buy Charles Terrence milk Lactum 1-3+ which was hard to find here in Cebu. We have gone to three malls/stores for two days but cannot find one. Since we still had an hour to go before the fireworks will start, we went to KFC for dinner. We have Aunt Vicky, her elder sister Chona, hubby’s cousins Joane, Harrison and Grace with us hubby, CT and me. Aunt Vicky wanted to have dinner out like a picnic but then we ended up eating our take out KFC bucket meal there inside KFC at the 3rd floor Food Court area of Ayala. Then after eating hubby went to CD-R King in the 4th Floor to buy a new optical mouse for my laptop since CT destroyed the mouse we brought. Well kids are kids.

Anyway, I had to go after hubby there and the rest of them followed suit. When I reached CD-R King, there were still three numbers before our turn to be entertained. I asked hubby what time it was. He said it was 9PM. We were having second thoughts giving up the priority number knowing how slow CD-R serves their customers. But then we decided to give up but quite too late. When we hurriedly went down to the second floor, We met aunt Vicky looking for us coz the fireworks had already started. We could see it through the partly-glass roof of the mall. I was carrying the D60 and so I ran to the 2nd floor balcony of the mall that opens and faces the Terraces. We could see part of the fireworks only. I then gave the cam to hubby for him to take photos. It took me awhile to remember that we have our Canon digicam with us and so I took the bag which Harrison was carrying for me and took the digicam. I was able to take a short video of the last part of the fireworks display. Hubby was able to take a few shots too. I could hear people saying “ohhhh… ahhhhh… wow!!!” There were many foreigners and balik bayans that night enjoying the Sinulog 2009 fireworks display at Ayala Center Cebu. I have to check on those trees that look like Plum trees which we saw at Ayala’s The Terraces where there was a Balik Cebu Dinner being held that night.

Here are some of the shots Charles was able to take:
