Michael Sarver’s Journey in American Idol Ends
27 Mar 2009
Michael Sarver, 27, from Jasper, Texas was eliminated this week from the American Idol Top 10. He sang “Ain’t Too Proud To Beg” of Motown which made them say he was kind of demanding in singing and interpreting the message of the song and that performance made the judges say:
Simon: “It just ain’t good enough.”
Paula: “For me this was a tough performance.”
Randy: “I think the song was just a little too big for you.”
Kara: “Who are you as an artist?”
More than 36 million votes were cast this week which was a Top 10 record according to American Idol host Ryan Seacrest. The other two of the bottom three for this week were Matt Giraud, who has what they call a steamy rendition of “Let’s Get It On”, and the other one was the so-called golden boy Scott MacIntyre who was the first one called out to be safe yet he still spent a few minutes finding out what it feel like to be in the bottom three.
