This article The War at Home of HK columnist Chip Tsao at HK Online where in one line he referred to the Philippines “As a nation of servants…” was in the news last night though I already heard about it early on.

It hurt a lot of Filipinos especially our OFW Domestic Helpers in HK “…more than 130,000 Filipina maids working as (HK)$3,580-a-month cheap labor in Hong Kong” according to Chip Tsao in his article.

HK columnist Chip Tsao post in HK Online magazine called Philippines "a nation of servants"

As of last night, the controversial article of Chip Tsao has been removed from the said site and HK OnlineĀ  has made a statement of public apology but I have yet to hear that Chip Tsao himself had apologized. The whereabouts of his Filipina maid named Luisa will be sought and she will be transferred to a new and better employer.

Some politicians like Roilo Golez has even called for the boycott of Filipinos traveling to HK and staying in HK hotels as well as boycotting products made and from HK for a period of six months to even one year.
