Abundance Providers and Entrepreneurs Corporation or APEC (formerly Pacific Plans Inc. – Lifetime Plans)
04 May 2009
Note to concerned readers: To all those who have whatever personal concerns regarding APEC or Pacific Plans, I do understand that you may have concerns but please contact them personally and directly but NOT thru this site because we are not connected to the company, we are not their agents and we do represent them in any way. Please do not use our contact form for this purpose. I may have been their client but NOT their agent nor their employee. Thank you!
Update on address of APEC: 18/F The Peak Tower, 107 L.P. leviste St., Salcedo Village, Makati City.
Since I made the post on Lifetime Plans | Pacific Plans Inc., many have been asking for their contact details. I was able to get hold of a copy of their letter addressed to their planholders and at the end of the letter you can get their contact details which they gave for those who wish to contact them.
Dear Planholder:
As you may have heard, Abundance Providers and Investments Corporation (“APIC”) purchased the entire outstanding capital stock of Pacific Plans, Inc. (“PPI”) held or owned by GPL Holdings Inc. (“GPLH”)
APIC was chosen among various parties interested in PPI in view of its vision for the company and its planholders. While APIC recognizes the existence of the current global financial crisis, with the aid of new business plan, a competent and proactive managementb team, a conservative and prudent management of the trust funds, and the cooperation of the company’s planholders, APIC remains optimistic that it will be able to reposition PPI and regain its market share.
In view of the sale, PPI is now under new management. To have fresh and new beginning, the company requested the change of its name to Abundance Providers and Entrepreneurs Corporation (“APEC”) Such was approved by the Securities and Exchange Commission in its Order dated February 13, 2009.
Rest assured that your plans are treated with the highest priority. All the original terms and conditions of your pre-need plans shall remain unchanged. APEC is bound by the court-mandated modified rehabilitation plan. Thus, while APEC wishes to please all planholders, it cannot deviate from the court-mandated modified rehabilitation plan or prejudice or infringe on the rights of other planholders to benefit and give advantage to the holders of open-ended traditional education plans. Thus, for the open-ended traditional education plabholders, APEC will continue to abide by and honor the court-approved rehabilitation program. As to pension, memorial and fixed-value education planholders, APEC intends to continue to service claims as they fall due.
The new management of APEC is confident that with new business plan, the creation of a competent and pro-active management of the trust funds, APEC will be able to ride out the present crisis hounding the pre-need industry. this is possible if you give APEC’s new management a chance to turn the business around.
APEC will continue to perform all servicing functions and will collect future installments under the planholder contracts. You will continue to receive all future notices, premium due statements, and other communications concerning your plan from APEC. Until further notice, please course all future payments to any of the existing payment facilities of APEC. However, planholders who wish to terminate their plans may do so by giving a written notice to APEC. The letter should be addressed to APEC as follows:

Dear Mr Onate:
Thank you very much for your letter of the 1st April 2009 addressed to my mother, Angeles Q Valenciano, who has a plan with the former Pacific Plans, which, as you have advised, was taken over by your company.
I tried to call the numbers 8160000 (customer service) and 856-4052. Both numbers are always, always, always busy.
My problem and fear is: how will I be able to contact your company when I need to if these two numbers are always busy? Can you imagine the magnitude of the stress that you will give me when, at the time that I need your service, you cannot be contacted? What am I to do if the need happens in the wee hours of the morning? What is my alternative? I cannot even go to your office during unholy hours! Your company simply cannot be contacted using any of the two numbers. This is simply unacceptable.
Further, yes, after trying so many times, I was successful in connecting with 8564052. And let me tell you this: the person on the other end was so arrogant. I started to complain that it took me so much time before I could get answered, and she just took my complaint non-chalantly – she gave me the impression that it was not any of her business if clients cannot connect after a reasonable length of time. I failed to get her name, but this person, whoever she maybe, must not be allowed to answer the phone. She has no telephone manners, and not customer-friendly at all. For the sake of your company Mr Onate, may I suggest that you field out better people – more caring people to answer your calls. Also, I tried contacting your other number 8160000. It was also busy, and I could not connect after trying so many times.
I will be able to live with your arrogant staff, but what I will not be able to live with is that your company cannot be contacted right away. Please do something about this. Can you not install a hotline, one that would entertain calls emergency in nature?
I hope to hear from you soonest.
YOurs,
ED VALENCIANO

2009 May 07 5Sir Ed Valenciano, I understand your sentiments and concern. I heard the APEC phone number in Davao does not answer phone calls too yet. I hope you have already directly sent this letter in writing to APEC office. It would be best if you visit the nearest APEC office nearest you.
Am not connected to APEC or Mr. Noel Onate. This is my personal site and I just happen to know some planholders just like your mother and I just posted the letter from APEC FYI for planholders and those concerned.

2009 May 09 7Hello Theresa Mateo, this site is not connected to APEC or to Mr. Onate. I suggest it would be best if you write personally and directly to APEC or Mr. Onate about this concern. Their address is given towards the end of the letter above.

2009 May 14 8I am a PH of previous PPI,which is now own by APEC. I received an offer from the APEC regarding their Advanced Pepstar Payment Program (APPP)quoting “You don’t have to wait for your scheduled availments anymore. With the APPP, you get all your availments right now. Depending on the Pepstar Plan you have, you will also receive your starter Fund and Return of Investment”
My question here is, I am owning a Pepstar Plan C which according to the previous PPI staff to whom i took my plan is the maximum and highest Plan they have. Please give me your opinion about this statement “Depending on the pepstar plan you have, you will also receive your starter fund and ROI” On my first inquiry, APEC staff explained to me that if ever i will avail the offered amount which includes the 8 semester payment except the 15% increase, “still” i will “also” received the starter fund right after graduation and 10 years after is the ROI. (This is written on my contract upon signing). Now upon further inquiry because i wanted to file a claim of the offer(which was fair i believe), they, then reverse the explanation by telling me, that, i do not have any future claim any more since i am not included in the category of this Pepstar Plan that is mentioned on the offer letter. Kindly give me your opinion on the way they have written this offer letter, if i belong to the highest category of this Pepstar plan , why i am not included in this provision, this is very misleading.
i do not have access to talk to them personally since i am an OFW and out of the country. Calling them is a waste of time, because since i started calling no one picks up the phone or telephone is busy. Now, that i have further question about this issue, they no longer answered my emails. I cannot come up to a certain decision, not unless they have to clarify things on my behalf. I wanted to email Mr Onate directly but i cannot find email address of him in any articles i am reading, except for a postal address which is useless for me since i am quite sure that if i will post him a letter it will take decades before it will be responded.Asides, i am trying to catch up with the given deadline, June 30, 2009.
I just cannot fathom the explanation given to me that Pepstar Plan C does not belong to this offer, when in fact this is the highest and maximum plan they have, not unless they have new offered Plan higher than what i have.Your most awaited opinion will really be highly appreciated.
Thank you so much.

2009 May 14 9I am not familiar with your plan. I am also not connected to PPI or APEC. It would be best to contact your agent or ask one of your relatives here to inquire for you.

2009 May 14 10Dear Meriam,
I am a fellow planholder and the other day we got a letter telling us we can have an early payout instead of waiting out the whole term. My plan is the the B type so i only get the starterfund. But i think what they are trying to say is, if you avail of the payout, it means thats all you will get, no more starterfund, no more ROI. It’s like you take the loss and just get whatever you can. But of course, i could be wrong because i havent really talked with anyone from there yet to ask about it.
Needless to say, i was not going to avail of that payout because i paid P233,000 and all im getting is P116,000. I computed what im SUPPOSED to get which is about P900,00++ So my husband and i decided to let it stay and hope for the best and if it doesnt work out, well, its charge to experience.
Hope everything works out for you.

2009 May 16 11Dear Mr. Onate,
Good day!
Im Lorraine E. Chato from Surigao City. My sis in law, Mrs. Victoria C. Ana, who is in America is a pepstar plan holder of pacific plans. Sad to know that she never received a certificate of full payment since the time her plans was fully paid. Her daughter is already first year college last June, 2008. The problem is, Mrs. Ana cannot find time to go home because of her work. She instructed me to be the one to settle, and arrange from your office so that in be half of her absence, every amount she will be receiving for the education of her child, I will be the one to receive. For all you know sir, Mrs. Ana is a domestic helper and tried to work in other country just to give the needs of her child. So I beg your good and kind heart sir to please help her sir because the educational assistance from your office is badly needed by her daughter especially today that we are experiencing global crisis. PLEASE SIR.
Thank you so much for the immediate action regarding my request.
More power and God bless.
Very truly yours,
Lorraine E. Chato

2009 May 17 12Good day Ms. Lorraine E. Chato,
I understand your concern but I would like to clarify once again that this site is not connected to APEC or PPI. I suggest that you personally follow-up the certificate of full payment from the PPI sales councilor who sold the plan to Mrs. Ana or you can inquire in the nearest PPI which is now APEC office in your place. As far as I know, they are granting the claims of pension holders. It would be best if you follow-up/inquire personally at their offices.
Please write directly or send this letter directly to Mr. Onate to the address given below which can be found in the letter posted.

Again I would like to repeat that this site is not connected to APEC or Mr. Onate. Thank you!

2009 Jun 10 17So what is the telephone no. of this new company? My husband, Amado Beltran received their form letter for the memorial plan. I paid the amortization after a long thought process. I still believe that the plan will be there when the time comes. How come the letter has no phone no? All I want is to find outr if they receive my payment through RCBC! I got another letter and another installment due reminder. I am starting to fear kasi nagtatago ba sila? BAKIT WALANG PHONE NO?
I am throwing my lot with Mr. Onate. I have also a pension plan and although fully paid, I know it still has around 8 years more to run. I have just paid 3 installments of my memorial plan but I will throw it into the lot. I will wait though for better news and more stable customer relationships before I pushed on with a second plan as I have originally envisioned in preparration for our old age. I like Manila Memorial plan. It is near our place, very convenient. I do hope Mr. Onate makes a go of this endeavor. BUT WHERE IS THE TELEPHONE NO.?

2009 Jun 12 18Hi
My auntie died this morning and unfortunately we could not find her Pacific memorial plans certificate. Considering that it is a holiday today, i tried contacting 8160000 and 8564052 and there was no answer. We need help. The agent who sold the pacific memorial plans no longer is connected with Pacific plans. Does anybody know where pacific plans or APIC can be reached? any branches in Metro Manila? For sure, there should have been a 24-hour hotline number. Any help would be appreciated.

2009 Jul 11 24Dear Mr. Noel Onate,
I am GLENDA MARIE BISMANOS BOTIN. I am writing in behalf of my grandfather MININIO B. BISMANOS of Poblacion Pilar, Capiz, a memorial planholder of the former Pacific Plans, Inc. (PPI)who availed of the Memorial Plan. As of this date, my grandfather is very old. He is 97 years old already, unable to travel much more transact his affairs.
In your letter dated April 1, 2009 you have informed your planholders regarding the change of management and ownership of the said Insurance Company. As such, you have manifested your commitment to continue the service claims fall due to the planholders.
In this connection, I would like to inquire the address and contact number of your branch office in the Western Visayas Region specifically in Roxas City, Capiz or in any branch near our vicinity. We do believe that any moment from now we will claim the service that my grandfather had entered into under the insurance policy contract.
An immediate and positive response is greatly appreciated.
Thank you very much.
