Greg Pritchard, a 24 year old Welsh came onstage of Britain’s Got Talent as they say looking somewhat like American Idol’s Adam Lambert with a rock star look. He works as a waiter in a hotel and he decided to join the reality show BGT to make a dream come true – to be a world wide performer. He possibly is not far from being one. Could he be close to what Susan Boyle of Britain’s Got Talent 2009 has achieved?
Certainly the shocked silence in the Britain’s Got Talent auditorium was indication of this gender-bending, mind-bending confusion, as was the temporarily speechlessness of the normally loquacious Simon Cowell. (source)
His stunning and shocking voice which he said range from tenor to male soprano, made BGT judges say:
Piers said “Of all the things I expected to come out of your mouth, that was the last thing on my list. But I have to say I thought you did it brilliantly, it was a great act.”
Simon Cowell said, “That shouldn’t have happened should it?… He was like a dog meowing. Do you know what I mean? It just shouldn’t do that. Do you know what I mean? Would I like a dog to meow? I guess I would. Yeah!”
Greg Pritchard got three YESes. Simon said, “Greg, I have to say I haven’t got a bloody clue but you are through. It is one of the most surreal things I have ever seen in my life.” One of the BGT hosts said that he had done well and that two years ago Paul Potts (who won BGT in 2007) came on stage and shocked them all with his voice. Greg also shocked them all for very different reasons.
For me, seeing his performance woke me up on a early rainy Tuesday, you have got to see him sing!
