Former President Corazon ‘Cory’ Cojuangco Aquino, 76 died Saturday morning at 3:18AM of cardiac arrest after battling colon cancer for more than a year. She was 76. Details of the former president’s wake will be announced later today, the Aquino family said. Her remains has been brought to the Heritage Park in Taguig. Candle lighting will be held today at 9:00AM at Ayala Tower 1.
Former President Corazopn “Cory” Aquino is an embodiment of the Philippines People Power and became an icon of democracy. She was the first woman president of the Philippines and in Asia. President Arroyo and Clinton condoles with the Aquino family.
