The 58th annual Miss Universe pageant will be held in the Imperial Ballroom in Atlantis, Paradise Island, Nassau, Bahamas on Sunday, August 23rd and will be telecast live on NBC and Telemundo at 9:00 P.M. (ET). Velvet presents this year‘s Miss Universe on Aug. 24, 8 p.m. It will be shown at ABS-CBN on August 24 at 9:30 AM. Miss Universe 2008 Dayana Mendoza from Venezuela will be crowning her successor.
The Philippines will be represented by the reigning Binibining Pilipinas-Universe title holder Miss Pamela Bianca Manalo. She is sister of Miss World finalist Katherine Manalo. She is 22 years old and works as a flight attendant. She is a graduate of advertising course from Assumption College.
The Miss Universe 2009 Pre-Pageant was already held today (Monday) in Nassau, Bahamas.
