Ellen DeGeneres is the new American Idol judge. Yes you read that right! It is no joke! The TV talk show host Ellen DeGeneres replaces Paula Abdul who left as being judge of the American Idol. Ellen joins Simon Cowell, Randy Jackson and Kara DioGuardi as Idol judges. There were many reactions on the internet after Ellen made this announcement in a taping yesterday of her TV talk show “The Ellen DeGeneres Show”.
Ellen told her audience, “I have a big announcement to make. No one knows this. I just finally got the OK … just moments ago to announce this to you today…I am going to be the new judge on ‘American Idol.’”
Personally, I dunno if she fits being the judge being more known as a comedian and TV talk show host but she is not a singer nor musician. Though she loves music that is what I read. I dunno but from what I read here, the American Idol producer Simon Fuller wants her on the show as “Ellen has been a fan of the show for many years, and her love of music and understanding of the American public will bring a unique human touch to our judging panel. I can’t wait for this next season to begin.” Probably they want to put a twist on the show. I like Ellen as a host and I find her funny as I often watch her TV talk show and she really makes me laugh. Well let’s wait and see how she’d do for an American Idol judge!
