Patrick Swayze Dies at 57 of Pancreatic Cancer

I was checking my email when I read that Patrick Swayze died Monday at the age of 57 due to pancreatic cancer which he has been battling for almost two years or 20 months. Swayze passed away peacefully with family at his side in Los Angeles. It was in March 2008 that he went public with his illness that he had the deadly pancreatic cancer.
Patrick Swayze’s movies Dirty Dancing and Ghost are among my fave movies before. He was a three-time Golden Globe nominee two of which were for Dirty Dancing and Ghost.
Swayze was married to Niemi, a fellow dancer who took lessons with Swayze’s mother. Niemi is a licensed pilot and would fly Swayze from Los Angeles to Northern California at Stanford University Medical Center for treatment. RIP Patrick Swayze.
