Eating Spicy Food
20 Jan 2010
Like many people I know, hubby likes eating spicy food or at least he likes to have something that would spice up his food whenever he can. I prefer more into sweets not spicy though I am game to dip my food into spicy sauces once in awhile but have to be sure it is not that spicy. Speaking of spicy, I recently read while doing a little research on hemorrhoid treatment for someone’s assignment as a favor, it says that eating spicy food does not actually cause hemorrhoids which I thought and heard of before, though spicy foods may be able to aggravate the condition. So it’s not a cause but may make it worse. And in case you’re interested to know the usual causes of this are: sitting for long periods of time, increased straining during bowel movements caused by constipation or diarrhea, hypertension or particularly portal hypertension, obesity, poor posture, and Vitamin E deficiency among others. This may be a topic which came out of the blue from me here but it so happens that I just read about it and it helps to get informed. I know many people who silently suffers from this condition. It is nothing to be ashamed of but it is something that you should avoid, pay attention to and have it treated.
