Michael Jackson’s long time choreographer Travis Payne with more than 1,500 dancing Filipino Inmates ‘This Is It’ Routine (They Dont Care About Us) last January 19, 2010 at the Cebu Provincial Detention And Rehabilitation Center (CPDRC) Maximum Security Penitentiary in Cebu, Philippines with Wardon Byron Garcia speaking in the intro part of the video.
Payne thanked Michael Jackson who is the reason they did this and to Sony Studios which made this possible. According to Payne also, MJ would watch the dancing Filipino inmates video of Thriller (which made a viral hit in 2007) during his breaks in his tour rehearsals. These dancing inmates also did the video “Dangerous” as a tribute to Michael Jackson. The “This Is It” DVD was released today, January 26, 2010.
Byron Garcia has initiated positive changes inside the prison by having the exercise regime that turned into dance classes.
