There is a pregnant Canadian curler at the Vancouver Winter Olympics 2010 and it is said to be rare. I actually thought pregnant women are not allowed to compete during Olympic competitions. She is Kristie Moore and she is 5 and a half months pregnant at 30.

She is only an alternate and she will be called on when needed or when someone in her team will be injured. She will still get any medal that Canada will win even if she does not get to play at the curling event.

Moore is only the third athlete to compete during the Olympics who is pregnant.
