Epidemic

I read this news again which was reported last month on ABS-CBN mentioning that a number of Filipinos getting infected with HIV rising dramatically in the last 10 months and those infected included young urban professionals such as call center agents. Those working in call centers had various reactions towards this news. It is important though to keep an open mind that those working in call centers are not being generalized. Though it should be noted that the spread of the dreaded AIDS in the country is already an epidemic.
It should be noted too that we should lookout because it spreads fast. It calls also for people especially the young professionals to be careful coz aside from HIV and AIDS, there are also possibilities of acquiring other viruses such as herpes simplex type 1 among others. There are treatments available for the latter but getting the wrong treatment can make it more painful for those who have acquired it. This is a scary and dreaded situation to be. So as they always say as with any other disease there is, prevention is always better than cure. It is also better to be safe than sorry. So yuppies and those who are prone to it be very careful. Think of your families especially your parents who have worked hard to educate and provide for your needs.
