Malacañang yesterday declared May 3, 2010 as a non-working holiday to commemorate Labor Day which falls on Saturday – May 1. This is good news for workers and employees wanting to have a long weekend this week to spend with their families and loved ones. Malacañang issued Proclamation No. 2043 Wednesday, issued by Executive Secretary Leandro Mendoza which cited Republic Act 9849 that indicated holidays including Labor Day will be observed on the nearest Monday and that is May 3.

We were traveling on the road a few days and we happen to be following a service truck of the local power company. Soon we saw other trucks along the different streets we passed through in our area doing service maintenance on power lines and posts. Their service trucks fascinated the lil boy for they had a very functional truck rack and was carrying many things.

They do remind me of those pickup truck racks for ladder from Real Truck that has basic truck rack or a deluxe contractor ladder rack with the best selection at the best prices, used for domestic long and short bed pickups my brother was asking me to search for online. For those not familiar with it, a truck rack is mounted over a pickup bed and within a pickup canopy which leaves a generally unobstructed view through the pickup rear window. Can you imagine those service contractor trucks with such load in the back driving around the city with their view of the back obstructed? You could imagine how difficult it could be for the driver. The function basically for a pickup truck ladder rack for example is to expand the cargo carrying capabilities of your truck! Yes I think those service contractors’ truck definitely need those functional truck racks with all the stuff they carry around town.
