For The Boys
30 May 2010
I just thought of this out of the blue as I remember hearing that chat among the boys in the neighborhood yesterday on our way out to go to the mall waiting for the taxi. They were talking about another friend of theirs, a teenage boy who just got circumcised. I have heard many young boys getting it done during this summer. I remember the boy I usually see roaming around the school where our lil boy went to for his summer class. During the last few days there, I once heard the teachers and staff talking to him about his upcoming circumcision then. Some were trying to scare him while others assured him that these days, the procedure does not take long and it takes only a few days for him to heal as it heals pretty fast. I don’t know but that talk after the boy left went on to such topics including a mention about extenze but that ended abruptly since classes had to start that afternoon already and they all went back to work.
But for the boys, from what I read, the best time for them to undergo that procedure is when they are psychologically prepared and when they reach puberty. But I also heard parents having their new born boys circumcised already after birth. In fact a former classmate of mine had it done for her second son after giving birth to him. Well as for our lil boy, we might as well wait for him to reach puberty. By then I think he will be more prepared and he will understand why and how it will be done.
