With possibly the last long weekend under GMA’s holiday economics for those in the working class with the Independence Day weekend and the nearest Monday declared as holiday here, I know a lot of you are busy spending the last weekend of summer vacation for those whose kids are still to start their classes this coming Tuesday. While others may be busy shopping and buying school supplies and school stuff for their kids who may have started their classes already last Monday. We will be buying the stuff in the list given by our lil boy’s preschool teacher. We need to have them by Tuesday when classes resume.

So what do we plan for this long weekend? We have an advance birthday celebration for my Dad whose birthday falls within a weekday next week actually and it will be an advance Father’s day celebration for my brother, my Dad and for hubby at the same time. One of my sis will be attending a bridal shower next weekend that is why she has been busy looking for lingerie corsets as one of their gifts for the bride to be. I was surprised to have been invited since I have met her friend several times during our high school days but I had to decline since I would be busy with something else myself next weekend. While another one of my sis won’t be available next weekend for a seminar and my mom is busy with church during Sundays.

So it was agreed that we will celebrate it during the declared regular holiday. It will just be a simple family get together as always. What is important in our family is that we are complete except of course for my elder sis and family who are miles and miles away in Europe.  I have yet to decide what to bring for our pot luck. I have a lot of things in mind but have to consider the budget. We are in save-mode for some upcoming major decisions that we need to deal with soon.
