President Benigno Aquino has declared tomorrow, August 20, 2010 as a special non-working holiday in Davao City in celebration of the Kadayawan Festival per Presidential Proclamation No. 15. Kadayawan Festival is an annual thanksgiving by the people and the City Government of Davao for the year’s bountiful harvest.

This will give Davaoenos more time to enjoy the festivities of the Kadayawan with their families and friends. There are a lot of sales going on in all the malls in the city from tomorrow until Sunday, August 22. Enjoy the Indak-Indak sa Kadalanan on August 21, Saturday with 24 groups expected to compete and the Pamulak or Floral Float Parade on August 22, Sunday with more than 50 floral floats to see. Hudyakaan or the on the street food and entertainment located at Bolton Street till Sunday.
