Google’s Self Driving Cars
10 Oct 2010
There might come a time in the future given the continuous advancement of technology when there are cars driven around in roads, highways and freeways without any driver in it. I wonder how much car insurance rate it would have. Would these self driving cars cost more or less? I guess it would cost more that the regular cars that we have at this time. The question for me now is if we could afford such cars more than we can afford the insurance we need to have to cover for it.
These self driving cars have logged about 140,000 miles around the San Francisco Bay area. These cars were invented with goals such as to help prevent traffic accidents, free up people’s time and reduce carbon emissions by fundamentally changing car use. They developed this technology for cars that can drive by themselves. Would you want to get one of these kind of techie cars?
