We finally got a new lens for our DLSR – AF-S DX Nikkor 18-105mm lens 3.5-5.6G ED VR for all around use for us that is. It was long overdue or a purchase long postponed as a replacement for our old all around lens – Nikkor kit lens 18-55mm. But the idea of buying the D90 now is simply out of the question after hubby told me it will be phased out and there are higher models next to it that have come out.

There is a new dslr camera that we wish for higher than the D90 but we don’t have the budget for it yet since there are far more important priorities to think of. We can only afford a new all around lens to replace our almost 3 year old kit lens the 18-55mm that has long been resting, unused. We just got the cheapest that we like and we decided for the Nikkor 18-105mm VR lens. This is good for landscape photography and will be used for the photo safari workshop we will be attending soon.

I used some of my DSavings set aside that caught hubby by surprise. I saw him smile from ear to ear when I said we will be buying the lens today. I got a tight hug and a kiss in return! *wink*
