100th International Women’s Day 2011

Today, March 8 is the 100th International Women’s Day.
In case you are a woman and you don’t know, since 1911 we celebrate every 8th of March each year the International Women’s Day (IWD) which is “a global day celebrating the economic, political and social achievements of all women from every race – past, present and future.”
This year we celebrate the Global Centenary Year of this special event for all women. Let’s celebrate 100 years of women’s achievements then till now all around the globe. Basically without women there won’t be mothers right?
The 2011 International Women’s Day theme is Equal access to education, training and science and technology: Pathway to decent work for women in case you want to know. There are so many activities going on today in UK, Canada, USA, Australia, India and other countries around the world recognizing the importance and achievements of women in this world.
Happy International Women’s Day to all women all over the world wherever you may be, what race you may belong! Let’s all be proud of being a WOMAN!
