It is Good Friday 2011 and we decided to just stay home and listen to the Seven Last Words right now. We found a live stream from ABC-CBN coverage.

For the solemnity of this holy day, here are some truly touching songs that I really love you may want to listen from Bukas Palad Music Ministry.

  • In Him Alone – one of the most touching songs that really brings tears to my eyes every time I hear this. When everyone else fails us, in Jesus and God do we find strength to go on and move on. Let us put our trust in the Lord!
  • If I Could Touch You – another very touching song that I love. Very inspiring!
  • In My Heart -  Among the recent discovered songs and I love this too because of the message of the song. Very inspiring too!

Today Aprill 22 is Earth Day 2011 aside of course from coinciding this year with the Good Friday 2011.

Advocates for a Greener Earth is hopping to encourage every single one of us to do our own “acts of green” and deciding to now choose to live a green lifestyle. I know some of you out there no matter how you try to deny it thinks differently when you say think green. What we mean here is to think green is to think of ways you can help save mother earth and our environment for the benefit of the present and future generation that they may still get to enjoy a sustainable environment in the future.

The Earth Day organization is urging every one of us in this world called EARTH to contribute to the Billion Acts of Green. These little acts of green that we can do can and should help prevent and save more damage to the environment for the sake of those generations to come.

Here are just a few of what we can do for this Billion Acts of Green:

  • Reduce, reuse and recycle. This has been a reminder for all of us. If you buy from McDo for example just like what we sometimes do. Take as less of their plastic bags as possible. You can just carry the food items. Less of those plastic bags taken home will mean less of those plastic bags ending up in the garbage. Bring your eco-friendly and re-usable bags every time you shop or go to the grocery. Keep one in your car or where you can easily see it when you are about to go out to shop.
  • Plant a tree. The president of this country has encouraged schools and organizations to plant more trees. I think it has been made into a law. Also, you can spread the word and support the United Nations Year of Forests 2011. You need not go to a tree planting event nor have your photo taken. Read more »»»
