The above are the provisional New7Wonders of Nature based on the first count of vote results on 11/11/11. It is possible that there will be changes between the above provisional winners and the eventual finally confirmed winners. The above provisional New7Wonders of Nature are listed in alphabetical order, not in any position or ranking.
The voting calculation is now being checked, validated and independently verified, and the confirmed winners will be announced starting early 2012 during the Official Inauguration ceremonies.
This is great news for us Filipinos making us proud for have one of our own among those new wonders of the world. The united efforts of Filipinos who voted for this has been rewarded. Let us hope and pray that it will indeed make it to the final confirmed seven winners next year.
It makes me wish for a trip there next year. We have never been to Puerto Princesa so if this underground river does make it to the confirmed winner as to be announced early 2012, it makes it more a local travel destination that is a must to travel to for us Filipinos. As they say, “wag maging dayuhan sa sariling bayan!”
