“It’s More Fun in the Philippines!”
That is the new slogan of the Department of Tourism that they launched yesterday to promote Philippine tourism for the international market while “#1 for fun Philippines” will be the slogan for the domestic market. I noticed people I was following over at Twitter world had been making it a trending topic yesterday. #ItsmorefuninthePhilippines and #1forfun both became Twitter’s top trending topics worldwide. You know us Pinoys, it’s more fun tweeting here in the Philippines.
Best of luck to the new slogan. Promoting our tourism will always be a challenge and a work in progress. All of us just have to work together to make it work. After seeing mixed reactions after the launch of the slogan, if we keep pulling down and thrashing the government’s effort, we would not succeed as a nation. Why don’t we just show the world in our own way, why it is indeed fun to be here in the Philippines. Our positive voice in this campaign will help us progress more rather than those negative voices that we hear here and there.
