American Idol Season 11 Finale Show and Results | American Idol Season 11 Winner is Phillip Phillips

American Idol Season 11 Finale Show and results will be known after the two hour grand finale live at the Nokia Theater. It is live at Starworld right now for those who have cable TV. Ryan Seacrest announced there was a new record 132 million votes for American Idol last night! Wow!

The Top 12 performed “Runaway Baby” by Bruno Mars. There was Erika, Hollie, Heejun, Deandre, Joshua, Shannon, Colton, Jeremy, Skylar…

Phillip Phillips sang with CCR’s John Fogerty. Joshua Ledet performed with Fantasia Barrino. And yes he got another standing ovation. The Top 12 girls finalists including Jessica Sanchez performed a number with Chaka Khan. Jane Lynch of Glee was spotted in the audience. I did saw her before there. By the way American Idol Season 12 auditions starts on June 7.

Jessica and Phillip’s musical mentors got a Ford car each while both Jessica and Phillip as expected also got a Ford car for themselves!

Rihanna performed “Where Have You Been” on the AI stage. Reba McEntire performed with Skylar Laine.

Then our very own Jessica Sanchez sang a fave I will Always Love You by Whitney Houston! She seems to have faltered a bit on a note but she did it great. Wow!

Followed then was a performance by the Top 12 boys with legendary Neil Diamond. Now I can’t help but sway to that song Sweet Caroline. Love that old song! Then there was a phonebook tribute to Randy Jackson.

Jennifer Lopez took the Idol stage. Were you surprised she did not wear tight fit outfit? Her jenny from the Block old school look as some people described it. She also performed with FloRida.

Then a little intermission… Ace Young proposes to AI season 3 runner-up Diana Degarmo on the American Idol stage! Wow that must have been a first time on American Idol stage right?

Hollie performed with Jordin Sparks and sang You’ll Never Walk Alone.  That was quite a number! The Top 12 guys were back on stage for a Beegees medley as tribute to the late Robin Gibbs who died a few days ago.

I Am Telling You I’m Not Going performed by Jennifer Holliday with Jessica Sanchez. What a performance!!!WOW! With that song may I say Jessica is the winner?

Steven Tyler went missing in that performance which made people wonder… then after Aerosmith took the stage… Walk This Way! There is your Steven Tyler performing on stage. I think that was the first time I have seen him perform on stage after a long time.
