Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) Mindanao Office and Regional Consular Office (RCO) is now open at SM City Davao making it more convenient and accessible to the public.
DFA Davao moved from its old office in Jacinto Street to its new location at the third floor of SM City Davao occupying almost half of the 3rd level of the main mall area. It started operations there last September 3, 2012 but will be fully operating by September 10. They aim to accommodate 300 walk in passport applicants daily. Though the guard who were giving out passport application forms told us they only accommodate 150 each day. I have heard in the radio over the taxi we were riding while we were in Manila recently that they also opened the DFA-NCR East Satellite Office at the SM Megamall last August 31 Friday.
The line was long when hubby and I went to check their new office last September 6 at SM Davao. I hope they could place more seats or even just benches especially for those people who are waiting in the long line applying for a passport.
DFA Davao will be open from Monday to Saturday at 10AM to 8PM for processing and releasing of passports. While on Sundays it will be open from 10AM to 2PM for passport releasing only. For your inquiries, you may call (082) 285 4885 / 285 5190.
