Pres-School classes for private and public school have been suspended for tomorrow February 19, 2013. This is for the information of those parents with kids who are pre-school students in Davao City.

Per PAGASA Weather Bulletin 01 issued at 530pm, February 18, re: Tropical Depression Crising, Davao del Sur which includes Davao City is under Signal #1. In view of the bulletin, all PRE-SCHOOL level classes are suspended tomorow, Feb. 19, Tuesday. Thank you.

Depending on the PAGASA advisory in the next few hours, it would be likely that the classes for grade school to high school will be suspended as well due to the weather. Best for students and parents to check the Official Facebook Page of the City Government of Davao where most updates on class suspension can be read.

I have been somewhat anticipating the suspension of classes tomorrow when I heard about the TD Crising. With the suspension of classes, I will have to let the little kid in the house do some school work at home even for the same few hours that he should be in class in school. This will allow me to do and finish some very important work tomorrow as well.

My friend was up to attend a seminar and she asked me to tag along. I can only promise her that I could stay for an hour as the longest time since the boys and I had other plans that one afternoon. The talk of the speaker was brief, short and concise. It turned out that the key speaker also has another speaking engagement to go back to.

They were using something like an interactive whiteboard which is a large interactive display that connects to a computer and projector. Something that provides solutions and works well in a classroom set up as well. Education and technology has brought teaching to a whole new level quite different from what we have been exposed to when I was still in college. It is also being used with educational seminars and trainings as well.

Good thing though the seminar did not even last longer than we had expected. I was able to sit throughout the seminar and just left when it was time for the open forum. It is good to attend seminars once in awhile for further education and you know we can always learn something new with seminars that we are free to attend to.
