Changing Host

Our sites have been down for a few times the past week and when you happen to access our sites during that time, you would read a data base error connection on your screen. There is a problem in our current web hosting and I got worried that if this will continue to happen and more often than I told hubby that it may be time to change our web host. So we are now looking for a new web host and searching the internet for other better options. I came across web hosting rating site which is one of the if not the biggest directory for web hosting that can be searched that has the complete information regarding all providers of web hosting and web hosting plans that you can choose from. They also do offer promotional and discount coupons to those who would like to avail of their hosting service plus they have unedited reviews by real customers which you can find at their site.

Hubby was telling me that we need to read the reviews of the possible web hosting providers that we may transfer to in order to be sure that we would not encounter the same problems and concerns that we have. I still have to talk with hubby regarding the top 10 web hosting companies that has independent customer ratings with the criteria based on satisfaction of past and existing customers, reliability, technical support which must be able to respond immediately to clients concerns and resolve them the soonest possible time and more importantly it must be affordable and worth the money you spend on web hosting plus its uptime is also crucial for bloggers like me earning online. You should check out this site if you are planning to change your web host. You can also get tips on getting a domain from their Articles section which is really helpful if you would consider those tips and keep them in mind when you get your own or new domain. So check it out now and you may find a great new web host that you need.

Busy and Moving

We are getting busy arranging things to bring with us and at the same time disposing things that we would no longer need and won’t be bringing with us when we move. We still have to make a final decision whether to take the 3rd floor apartment which is cleaner and newer yet smaller or the 1st floor apartment which not as clean yet still clean, older but bigger in space plus there are already 3 beds in the 2 BRs and there are already cabinets in the room plus we have a small space in the front yard to hang dry our clothes when we do the laundry unless we buy a spin drier yet that is not yet an option as of now. So hubby and I might check and see again the 1st floor apartment which is our first option since the location of the 3rd floor might not be good an more convenient for us having a baby.

On the other hand, we are thinking of renting out or having the house we have not lived in farther south. We might decide to have it for assume but then if finances will still allow us to pay for the mortgage, I would want to just rent it out to subsidize our rent also. That reminds me that I still have to check on those mortgage quotes.

Can’t Live Without

If you were given a choice and to move to a new place, what one thing would you bring with you if the earth was destroyed? For me since it is a thing and not a person, I would probably bring my laptop provided other factors and things work the same way like internet connection, signal, electricity and other stuff for it to function. It has been a means of communication and earning while being a stay at home mom for months now. It has been second nature for me to stay online while juggling mommy duties at home.
We even have plans of actually moving to a new place and one thing I told hubby that we must have in that new place is internet connection and that is what he has been doing right now. We are both bloggers and we benefit from it so we need to have that service in our new place. He can also have time then to go back to playing video games which has been his favorite past time before we met years ago. We even have been planning to buy a PSP given we will have extra budget for that so he has been looking for free online games and someone introduced to him this new game Tabula Rasa. You can sign up now and play Tabula Rasa for free and you can feel that you are part of this so-called Operation Immortality: Leave your mark. Save Humanity.

It seems to be a really cool game just like the games hubby and my nephew used to play together in the internet cafe before when we had chances to play outside the house. That used to be bonding time before and I am thinking it may even be hubby and my son CT’s bonding time in the near future. The graphics of this game is cool too. Check out the video game site at www.operationimmortality.com and try out this cool new game we discovered. My nephew is now very interested standing beside me and asking me about the game and even asking me if we can download the game now. I told him he better ask permission from his mom if he can play it once we download it.

Time for a Break from the “Jumper”

Finally CT is asleep! I still have to check some cheap hotels for a trip we were planning for next year which I hope will push through. Anyway, I arrived home around 7:30 this evening from SM where I had to buy groceries especially CT’s milk while hubby left me because he had to go to work for his last straight 12-hour OT duty tonight. Doing the grocery was a break for me coz these days CT really needs to be watched as he walks all around the house, and his specialty for the week - turning on electric fans around the house and I have not yet blogged about this but CT has become a “jumper” - Read more on Time for a Break from the “Jumper” »»»
