It is the first Monday of the year and first work day for most working people around the world. It is a bed weather day here in the city. I wonder how many working people were either late for work or are even absent on the first working day of 2011. I would want to go back to bed myself yet I have work to do here at home. Read more »»»

The weather has been so hot the past few days or was it just because I have not been used to going outside so often that I didn’t realize it can be so hot when you walk around town during the day. Just like yesterday when I went to the branch of hubby’s office to submit his medical certificate and I just decided to walk instead of riding a taxi. I was just half way through and I was already sweating so much and I developed a head ache after that. It is so hot in the country with the El Nino and will still be so hot here until next month. These are the times that we should also be watchful of possible fire and so I remember looking into free fire insurance quotes. I heard in the local news the last week that there was a fire that broke out in one of the slum areas after an electric fan short circuited and started a fire after there was a brownout. Speaking of brownout I noticed there was no more brownout in our place since after the elections. I wonder why there is no more brownout when the news said the El Nino still greatly affects the water level in Lanao and still the brownouts will still continue. Those brownouts is something we also have to look out for coz there were fires that broke out too due to short circuit in appliances left plugged in during brownout as well as faulty electrical wirings too.
