Feast of the Immaculate Conception 2011

Feast of the Immaculate Conception 2011 is today Thursday, December 8, 2011. It is a holy day of obligation for Catholics. It is not a public holiday here in the Philippines but there are some countries who declares it as such. Catholic schools like my alma mater celebrate this as a feast day with no classes during my time.
It is the day we celebrate our belief that Mary was conceived without or free from original sin. Nine months before Mama Mary was born on September 8 which is her birthday celebrated as the Nativity of Mary. Happy feast day to all! Will be celebrating it hopefully by attending a mass with hubby.
