F is for… the recently concluded Kadayawan Festival which was a week long colorful celebration here in Davao City from August 17-24, 2008. It was a great Kadayawan and I am happy to have witnessed the colorful Indak-indak sa Kadalanan (Street Dancing Competition) and their presentation while I was in front of the stage shooting with hubby alternately.

If last weekend was a long weekend because August 18 was declared the holiday for the anniversary of Ninoy Aquino‘s death which is actually yesterday, August 21 then this weekend starting today is a much longer holiday for us here in Davao City since today, August 22 Friday is a special non-working holiday in Davao for the celebration of the Kadayawan Festival then Monday, August 25 is yet another holiday where the National Heroes’ Day was moved to which is normally celebrated on the last Sunday of August here in the Philippines.
