June 12 every year is the Philippine Independence Day. This year the regular non-working holiday was moved to a Monday, June 9. We celebrate this year on June 12, 2008 the 110th anniversary of the proclamation of Philippine independence with the theme: Kalayaan 2008 “Republic Service, Tungo sa Ganap na Kalayaan at Kaunlaran”. We were at the Quezon Park in front of the City Hall of Davao last night and H took this photo of the banner displayed with two Philippine flags raised on each side. These are my take for this week’s LP theme – Kalayaan (Freedom). Happy Thursday to all!
June 12 bawat taon ay ang Araw ng Kalayaan sa Pilipinas. Sa taong ito ang opisyal na araw ng pamamahinga ay nilipat sa Lunes, Hunyo 9. Sa taong ito sa Hunyo 12, 2008 ang ika 110 na anibersaryo ng proklamasyon ng kalayan ng Pilipinas na may temang: Kalayaan 2008 “Serbisyong Republika, Tungo sa Ganap na Kalayaan at Kaunlaran. Nasa Quezon Park harap ng kagabi at kinunan ni H ng litrato ang banderang ikinabit na may dalawang bandila ng Pilipinas na nakataas sa magkabilang tabi.
