Camera Critters, Photography

While taking photos in the front yard of the sky and flowers, H found this insect inside one of the Gumamela (hibiscus rosa-sinensis Linn) or also known as Hibiscus, China Rose and Shoeflower. In the Philippines, gumamela is cultivated as an ornamental plant. The gumamela flower comes in many colors: red, yellow, orange, white, purple, pink and other color combinations. Going back to the critter we found inside the Gumamela, I am not sure if it is an ant or a bee or something else. We did not dare touch it too as it make take a bite. We just left it there be and free to do what it was doing.

Photo Hunt, Photography

For my Photo Hunt entry for this week’s theme – SELF, I chose this photo of mySELF and my baby when we were at People’s Park almost two weeks ago and this has a little twist coz it was a stolen shot of us by my hubby as we were both looking at something in our left side which I can not remember what we were looking at and I was not aware that our son was also looking that way. To add a little drama to this photo, I made it into monochrome or basically black and white. Our background is one of the group of sculptures you can find in this park in th heart of Davao City which represents the indigenous people of Southern Mindanao.
